STATOIL - LCI Solution Project

STID Loop Conversion

After years with different LCI/Engineering tools on offshore/onshore plants, Statoil decided to standardize the solution on all their plants into Statoils own LCI/Engineering database - STID.

Our task was to convert the instrument loop data from SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) to Statoils own STID Loop for the following plants.

• Aasgard A
• Aasgard B
• Kristin
• Peregrino
• Snoehvit
• Kaarstoe
• Mongstad

This meant that we needed to have an intimate understanding of both the data model for SPI and STID Loop and all Statoils code tables before the conversion. We developed custom scripts to extract the information into a format required by STID loop and imported the information into the STID Loop environment.
